FnGuide and Bonanza Lab release K-DACS digital asset classification standard

FnGuide and Bonanza Lab have jointly released K-DACS, a standard classification framework for Korea's digital asset market. It reflects not only technical structure but each asset's actual role and purpose in the domestic market, aiming to reduce information asymmetry and protect investors.

K-DACS uses a three-tier hierarchy: five top-level categories (value and payments, platforms and chains, infrastructure, applications, and memes), then 18 mid-level and 46 detailed categories. Assets sharing a similar role and demand profile are grouped into peer groups so their functional characteristics can be analyzed together.

The two firms built the framework by analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data on assets traded on Korean exchanges. They plan to use K-DACS as a base metric for product development, research and risk management, updating it regularly to reflect market and global developments.
